What is Box Lacrosse?

Box Lacrosse is played in tighter spaces (hockey rink size) which teaches players to play at a high tempo and adapt to each situation quickly. The game is also played with smaller goals, and goalies wear additional padding, forcing player to work for high percentage shots and to use accuracy while shooting. There's no hiding in the box! With only five field players (runners) on the floor at a time playing both offense and defense, players are always involved in the action on both sides of the field. All field players will learn offensive and defensive skills and techniques that will contribute to their development in all aspects of the game.
